The Product Management portal
Downloads, licences and the machines they are issued against, in one place - signed into with your account reference and the address we already hold. No serial number, no password.
Getting a release used to start with finding a serial number. The Product Management portal replaces that with the two things a customer already knows: an account reference and the email address held for the account. A six-digit code goes to that address and signs you in. There is no password to store, forget or rotate.
What it holds
Downloads for every supported platform, the licence for each machine you run, and renewal in the same place rather than through a separate request. The portal knows which releases an account is entitled to, so the list you see is the list you can use.
Why it changed
The serial number was a credential that lived on paperwork, which meant it was usually somewhere other than the person who needed it. Replacing it with a code sent to the address of record removes the search, and removes a stored password at the same time. Sign-in is now something you can complete from your own desk in under a minute.
If no code arrives, or you do not have your account reference, Support can put it right - usually the contact details held for the account need bringing up to date, which is quickly done.
